The pool was built in 1976 with Revenue Sharing Funds received from the Ohio Township Trustees. The local Ohio Township Community Civic Group provided funds to build the bathhouse and filter system for the pool. A grant was obtained from the Federal Land & Water Conservation Fund Act to build the two tennis courts. In 1997, Hannibal Pool & Tennis Complex received an Appalachia Grant for $40,000.00 to conduct repairs & make improvements at this facility. The Monroe County Park District has operated and maintained the facility on 1.0 acres of ground donated by the Switzerland of Ohio Schools.

We are proud of our safety record at the pool. Our lifeguards offer swimming lessons annually and cater to large crowds during the hot summer months. The pool is 40’x80’ and reservations for evening swimming parties may be placed with Rose Ann Luikart - the pool manager.
